BRING BACK OUR CHILDREN!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

As a mission with many African school girls we have the greatest sympathy with the crisis of the 250 Christian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria.

It is distressing to see the Islamic radicals boast about the “voluntary” conversions of these children to Islam.

We appeal to Nigeria’s leader, Mr Goodluck Jonathan, to do all in his power to return these kidnapped children. Every agency and foreign power of goodwill should assist in the search and safe return of these children.

“Forced conversion” is the antipathy of freedom of religion. It should not be tolerated that such atrocities go unpunished. Boko Haram will continue with such atrocities unless the strongest action is taken against them. The leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has openly boasted: “"I abducted your girls, I will sell them in the market, by Allah. I will sell them off and marry them off." A case against him must be opened by the International Criminal Court.

Yours sincerely

Rev Erlo Stegen
(Director of Kwasizabantu Mission)
