26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the
treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
14 These are the ones who come out of the great
tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb
The life is in the blood. Blood is so complex that even the
scientists struggle to fully understand it. For example when you're cut, your body
immediately reacts and sends the white blood cells to fight the infection. The dead white
blood cells are then expelled as puss.
In the same way the Blood of Christ cleanses us from all
unrighteousness to counter any poison of sin that enters.
The blood is like petrol that allows your body to function.
The other members of the body remains in its place, but the blood
is present right through your body. The blood also carries oxygen throughout your body. It
also gets rid of impurities and acts like a refuse remover.
We speak so glibly about the Blood of Christ, little realising
what it does. It brings us life and that's why the devil hates it.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of
it are the issues of life.
If you don't do this you're a fool and will end in hell.
A certain young man, Jan, started his life in a bad way. He was a
skilled builder, but he was lazy and unfaithful. His wife's name was Marie. They worked
for a farmer. Marie helped the farmers wife and was a faithful and hard worker. But
Jan would often be late for work and squandered everything that they earned so that they
became very poor. One day the farmer and his wife visited Jan and Marie and they were
shocked to see their terrible living conditions because of Jans unfaithfulness. They
decided to reward Marie for her faithfulness and the farmer called Jan to tell him that he
has a big project for him. He took him to a beautiful spot on the farm with a wonderful
view and told him that he and his wife would be going away for an extended holiday
overseas. He wanted Jan to build a beautiful house, and that he would remunerate him well
for the work. The farmer gave Jan the blueprint of the house and showed him all the
highest quality building material he had already bought for the building of the house. The
bricks were of the highest quality face brick and the floors were to be of the highest
quality wood. Even while the farmer showed him everything, Jan started to scheme in his
heart, how he would sell the high quality building material for cheap ones and pocket the
difference and enjoy himself with his friends. As soon as the farmer and his wife had left
for the holiday, Jan did exactly what he had planned. He sold all the high quality stuff
and bought second-hand low-quality material and pocketed the difference. He thought to
himself that he was clever and that the farmer would stay in the new house. He completed
the house shortly before the farmer and his wife returned from their holiday. As soon as
the farmer was back he went to him and told him that the work had been completed. He
expected to be paid right away. But the farmer took out an envelope, opened it and showed
Jan the title deed of the house. He had built the house for himself. Jan was the owner of
the house. Jan was shocked but tried not to show it. He suddenly realised that he
hadnt tricked the farmer but himself! He had so much regret. If only he knew, he
wouldve used the best material to build the house!
Maybe you as a child think you're clever in your rebellion and
disobedience. But you're only hurting yourself. Your teachers have already achieved what
they wanted in life. It's your own future you destroy.
While you are young, make sure that you build your house in the
proper way. You will never regret it if you follow the Lord.
The Gospel should be precious to you. The world is absolutely
rubbish compared to the Gospel. The world cannot offer anything of substance.
However if you love the husks of the world is it because you're a
If a pig should fall into the mud it would enjoy it. Do you enjoy
the rubbish of the world?
